Post 16-19 Bursary
At Woolwich Polytechnic Sixth Form we offer the 16-19 Bursary for our students that might be facing financial hardship. We know that the cost-of-living crisis has been a real struggle for some of our students, so we encourage them to come to us for guidance and support.
We have a weekly bursary for:
- A young person in care
- A care leaver
- A young person in receipt of income support or Universal Credit in your own name
- A disabled young person in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments
Also, a termly bursary for
- Employment and Support Allowance;
- Income Support;
- Income-based jobseekers Allowance;
- Child Tax credit (not working tax credits)
- Support under Part 6 of the Immigration Asylum Act 1999;
- Pension Credit Guarantee, and be in receipt of Child Tax Credit above the basic family element
What other things can the bursary help with?
- Education school trips
- Resources for education e.g. text books
- Travel support
