BHP Architects were selected by the London Borough of Greenwich to design and oversee the construction and renovation of the Waterfield School site in Thamesmead, facilitating the relocation of the Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys. This project commenced in January 2002 and reached completion by January 2003.

The original open-plan building, structured on a square nine-meter grid with internal courtyards, was transformed into enclosed classrooms. Additionally, a new two-story detached extension was connected to the main school via a 'flying' bridge link.

Take a look at these photographs - it's hard to believe they were captured 22 years ago, time flies!
