Mohamed Elsandel former student of Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys stars in new Idris Elba thriller series ‘Hijack’ on Apple TV.

Mohamed Elsandel left Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys in 2018, the drama department couldn’t be more proud of the success he has achieved since leaving school.

Born in Holland to Sudanese parents, Mohamed moved to London at a young age. He joined the National Youth Theatre and since then has gone onto perform in ‘Angels’ at the Greenwich Theatre and films ‘Hireth’ and ‘Playtower’.

Mohamed stars as the character Jaden in the new thriller series ‘Hijack’. Told in real time, “Hijack” is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers. Idris Elba stars as Sam Nelson, a top negotiator who finds himself in the eye of a storm when the plane he is flying on is hijacked. Elba also exec produces the show.

Hijack launches on Apple TV+ 28th June 2023.
